New Northside Runway 8- 26 Miami International Airport

ADC was an essential member of the design team. The firm provided architectural and structural engineering, and design construction administration services for the construction of an 8,600' air carrier runway on the north side of the airport.

The work included fast track design to capture State and Federal funding. The project was carefully phased to insure 1) continuation of accessibility for tenants, 2) rerouting and upgrading the underground infrastructure, 3) maintaining enough remote aircraft parking ti accommodate operational needs of the airport, and 4) addressing contaminated soils and groundwater that transverse the site.

The design and construction of this runway has put Miami International Airport at the top of premier airports in the world for both passengers and cargo transportation.
