New South Terminal and Concourse J Construction Management
ADC was one of the few firms that qualified to provide both professional design services and construction management services. Shortly after the design of the South Terminal Expansion Project was completed, ADC became a part of Parson's Oderbrecht JV (POJV). This team won the construction Management bid to build the $649 million dollar facility which now includes Concourse J.
ADC worked alongside POJV in all aspects of the construction management for the execution of this project. This involved the construction of an ultra modernConcourse J and South Terminal along with all the necessary support facilities including the aprons and taxi ways. This 1,000,000 sq.ft. Multi level airport and 15 gate concourse has become the main centerpiece for Miami International Airport.
The construction encompasses a complex roofing structure, roof drainage piping system with overflow drainage and sanitary collection systems. The fire protection system design needed to meet special requirements (i.e. deluge sprinkler system to provide fire suppression for airside glazing that utilizes a UV/IR flame detection system)
